Call for Scientific Abstracts and Case Reports

Abstract submission deadline: Friday September 1, 2017 (17:00 PDT)

Subject matter related to all research and clinical (medical, surgical, interventional) aspects of chronic thromboembolic disease and CTEPH. Case reports should preferably discuss unique aspects of the presentation, evaluation and management of patients with chronic thromboembolic disease, clinical “mimics”, and unexpected outcomes following the treatment of CTEPH patients.

Scientific Abstracts
Should be organized as follows:
1) Descriptive title, list of authors (presenting author indicated by an asterick*), and institution(s)
2) Introduction, discussing rational for study
3) Methods
4) Study Results
5) Conclusions

Case Reports
Case report abstracts should contain the following components:
1) Descriptive title, list of authors (presenting author indicated by an asterick*), and institution(s)
2) Introduction
3) Description of clinical case
4) Discussion of the unique and important aspects of the reported case

Abstract Length, Language, and Submission
The abstract must be submitted in English; the total word count of an abstract should not exceed 400 words (abstract body). Title, authors’ information, tables, and figures/images are not included in the word count.

The presenting author of the submitted abstract must complete an Author Disclosure Form.

Research Funding Source
All abstracts must specify funding source, such as grant name, pharmaceutical support, or other funding source. If there is no funding source, indicate “none”.

Abstract Publication
Accepted abstracts will not be indexed, though all accepted abstracts will be displayed as posters (poster formatting in acceptance letter) and available for viewing throughout National Proceedings: CTEPH 2017. A total of FOUR abstracts and/or case reports will be selected for presentation at a moderated session of the conference. All accepted abstracts will be published in the final conference program.

Submission Fee
None. A discounted registration fee will be available to the presenting author of an accepted abstract or case report.
